About Joanne Webb

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to display my talents and experience more recently as the Teaching Artist Consultant for The Career Center at Entertainment Community Fund (formerly The Actors Fund) and previous to this I was the Director of The Career Center, Western Region for over a decade at the same organization. I take great pride in my proven ability to motivate and collaborate with creative people and organizations, enabling them to succeed in their strategic goals, enhanced through community alliance. This includes developing a Teaching Artist Program, funded by Sony Pictures Entertainment and programming for our 50+ creative community. I have a broad background in the entertainment arena, having been an actor, working behind the scenes in television production/promotion with CBS, Paramount, and ABC Television, as well as Editorial Supervisor and Creative Development Manager for The Walt Disney Company, Consumer Products Division both in New York and Los Angeles. From there I transitioned into training and development as a Career Counselor, focusing my expertise on encouraging artists to explore and successfully enhance their career paths by utilizing their creative talents and skills. In 2022 I received the Teaching Artist Guild and Arts Education Partnership's Teaching Artist Ally Award. I have a BFA in Theater/Acting from Boston University and an MA in Psychology, Specialization in Applied Community Psychology from Antioch University.
