STUDENT JOURNALIST: I have always loved the written English word. Upon graduating high school, I headed straight into obtaining my AA with a focus in Journalism at Everett Community College. I was a Staff Writer for The Clipper and created award-winning fashion pieces during my tenure. From there, I transferred to Washington State University - Everett to complete my BA in Integrated Strategic Communication. I was promoted from a Staff Writer to an Elite Creator for The Odyssey Online during my schooling. RETAIL SALES MANAGEMENT:After 8+ years of retail sales and management, I’m able to effectively work with various types of personalities. I know how to lead, train and develop staff for success. I also implemented effective sales strategies to exceed daily sales plans while creating digital content for the store location’s social media. SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT: Once I left retail, I decided to pursue social media management in my new job positions. My position as a Social Media Manager and Pack Leader for Walk My Dog Bothell has offered me the opportunity to train and lead team members while creating content for our target audience.
