About Jobi Mathew

Experienced educator and academic leader with over 25 years in university-level teaching and administration, including four years as Principal in B.Ed and Higher Secondary institutions. Currently serving as Assistant Professor of English at Holy Cross IMT, Kozhikode, I hold multiple advanced degrees: MA in English, MA in Economics, and MSc in Counselling Psychology, and I am pursuing a PhD in Education at Vels University, Chennai. My career spans diverse roles such as B.Ed College Principal, Head of Department, and Higher Secondary School Principal, reflecting a strong commitment to academic excellence and leadership. I have also contributed to the media sector as a casual news reader, announcer, and drama voice at All India Radio Kozhikode, and as a documentary narrator for Shalom TV. Recognized for my dedication to teaching, I received the Sadguru Best Teacher Award from Calicut University in 2014. As an author, I have published three books, including a textbook for B.Ed courses and two poetry collections. In I founded St. Joseph’s English Academy, a center for spoken and communicative English that has empowered thousands of students. Additionally, I established the Free Mind Counseling Center at Kodassery to provide accessible mental health support in my community. I am passionate about professional growth and always open to new opportunities to further my career and contribute to the field of education.
