About Jocelyn Chu

For approximately 12 years, I was the Medical Billing Specialist for Dr. Clement Chu. I also have 12 years of professional writing experience in the action sports industry (beach volleyball, skateboarding and snowboarding). During the summer of 2007, I was a public relations intern at Estey-Hoover, Inc. I am an alumni of Saddleback College's Healthcare Information Technology program and earned an Associate's of Science degree. I joined AHIMA on 8/23/2013. I am a spring 2015 recipient of the Sue and Bill Gross Technical Scholars Program and on the Dean's List. One of my biggest goals was achieved in April 2017. I pass the Registered Healthcare Information Technician (RHIT) exam. I am also a member of the AAPC's Orange chapter. On 10/25/2021, I started a new MEA position at Nations Benefits. I have also been appointed to the Employee Engagement Council (EEC) and one of the four MEAs to hold that position. We strive to build/boost employee morale. We also hold fundraising events for the Costa Mesa location. Specialties: medical billing and coding, public relations, fundraising (previously, I helped the Boarding For Breast Cancer Foundation and the Newport Sports Museum.), writing (knowledge of AP Style and some marketing experience), software programs (Vocus, DNA, Athena, Kareo, Office Ally, Compulink, Navigator, Iris, Genesys, Ignite, Web PT and Medisoft).
