About Jocelyn Hurst

I've always been passionate about working with adults. I specifically enjoy working with individuals with acquired brain injury. I began my career in a skilled nursing facility and transitioned into an inpatient rehabilitation setting with specialized programs in stroke rehabilitation, brain injury rehabilitation, and Parkinson's disease. Despite my love for the patient bedside, I decided to broaden my expertise through outpatient therapy. I am now able to work with adults in an outpatient clinic, sharpen my clinical pediatric skills via telehealth therapy, and maintain my inpatient clinical skills through regular per diem work at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital. My current interests include evidence-based, functional, and person-centered approaches to cognitive retraining, aphasia treatment, and dysphagia.
