About Jocelyn Ruppert

I am currently a Business Education teacher, and the Work-Based Learning Coordinator at Southern York County School District. I have been teaching since 2010 and truly feel that connecting with young adults is what I was designed to do. In addition, I work at the Milton Hershey School as a relief houseparent. Unlike many educators my road to teaching wasn’t intuitive, it was discovered. Prior to being a teacher I was a business owner. My experience within the business world is where I discovered my passion for people, processes and training. It was during this time where my desire to serve more than self was realized. I wanted to help others grow. I attended York College of Pennsylvania, where I received my bachelor's degree in Education within 3 years of starting the program. I earned a masters degree from Wilkes University in 21st Century Teaching and Learning shortly after that. In May of 2025 I’m expected to receive my cooperative education certification through Indiana University of Pennsylvania. The combination of my degree and experiences have prepared me to take on almost any role and any task. I have a diverse set of transferable skills and the intellectual capability of learning new things quickly. Adapting to various roles, environments and personalities is something I take great pride in. I believe wholeheartedly that intrinsic motivation is the key to personal and professional growth which ultimately leads to output productivity and success.
