About Jochen Metzner

I am a Senior Event Marketing Manager with a strategic mindset, known for creating innovative concepts and translating them into unique customer experiences. My project management approach is characterized by hands-on, where I prioritize content, design, and teamwork. With over two decades of experience in the telecoms industry, my journey began at Nokia Networks in Finland in 1998. Since 2002, I've been at the forefront of steering customer engagement for customer visits, global events and Solution Experience Centers. A significant achievement was my role in seamlessly integrating these teams when Nokia Siemens Networks started its operation in April 2007. Subsequently, at Siemens AG in Germany from 2012 to 2019, I directed the centralized Fairs and Events team, managed major exhibitions, including "Hannover Messe" and "SPS IPC Drives," while successfully executing annually 300 projects with the team. In my role at Bühler AG in Switzerland, I developed a global event strategy and standardized the brand presence, which included the groundbreaking "Bühler Virtual World" to enhance customer engagement during the pandemic. I established a web competence hub in Bangalore, India, strengthening digital marketing capabilities, created unique event experience at the "Bühler Networking Days," and supported global product launches while streamlining marcom reporting. During my leisure time, I find joy in spending quality moments with my family or pursuing outdoor activities such as mountain hiking. With my two children transitioned from their teenage years to adulthood, I am confident to say that no customer event is ever going to be too difficult or demanding.
