Sides: Lecturer (primarily at Free University Berlin in Media & Communication Studies); Active support of NGO Lie Detectors (bringing media literacy to young people by going into schools); Vice-Chair of Advisory Council of EDMO (European Digital Media Observatory); Chairman of the Advisory Board of CEDMO / CEDMO 2.0 (Central European Digital Media Observatory); Advisory Board member of GADMO (German Austrian Digital Media Observatory). The topical focus of my work over the past decade has been on social newsgathering, analysis and verification of digital content, disinformation analysis and respective countering thereof; using technology and tools (e.g. Artificial Intelligence) to counter disinformation; and relating all the above to news (reporting) and the dissemination of trusted and reliable information. The above goes hand in hand with the management and coordination of collaborative research and development projects and people.
