I am a social worker passionate about using research-driven strategies to build people-centered systems and organizational cultures that attend to justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion. I believe that strength-based and solution-focused approaches should extend beyond therapeutic settings to become a part of everything we do- I have invested in addressing systemic barriers by growing my skills in programming, interdisciplinary research, grant writing, and program management within nonprofit organizations- I am focused on understanding the intersections of racism, violence, and trauma in order to become more equipped as a researcher and practitioner to engage in transformative action- I have gained clinical experience in using evidence-based methods to serve individuals from marginalized communities, which fuels my desire to see the development of culturally relevant prevention and intervention methods- My research background centers on mental health, ethnicity, racial trauma, and intimate relationships.
