About Jodi Baxter

Jodi Baxter is an entrepreneur and founder, having graduated from the University of Waterloo with a degree in English, focusing on documentation and writing. She has written articles, edited books, created leadership manuals and user guides. She was a writer with world renowned fitness magazines such as Reps! Status Magazine, Oxygen and Muscle Magazine. A long time devoted community supporter, she joined the Canadian Red Cross (CRC) in 2010 and found her passion for facilitation; specializing in first aid instruction, safety and prevention. After writing an article on the world’s strongest firefighter, she was inspired to take on a new challenge and in 2013 obtained a diploma and credentials in firefighting. Upon completion, she became a Red Cross Training Partner, pooling all her experiences, expertise and passion into founding Baxter Safety. A lifelong learner, in 2015 she became an Instructor Trainer and joined the Emergency Management Response Team with Red Cross Emergency Management. In addition to first aid, she added Psychological First Aid Instruction and Respect Education, Violence and Abuse Prevention facilitation. Jodi is steadily building Baxter Safety by providing educational courses in Southern Ontario focusing on first aid, safety and prevention.
