About Jodi Moore

I began my legal career as a defense clerk for the Legal Services Support Section in Okinawa, Japan, United States Marine Corps. Upon returning to the states, I served as legal assistant to the Judge Advocate General for Naval Weapons Station Earle, NJ. After mililtary service, I worked as paralegal for Hayt, Hayt and Landau in Eatontown, NJ for a while prior to returning home to the sunny beaches of Pensacola, FL for marriage and motherhood. During a break from my career, I earned my A.S. degree in Paralegal Studies in 1997 and shortly thereafter began volunteer work as a Guardian ad Litem for the State of Florida advocating for children who had been abused and/or neglected. My volunteer work lead to a job at Legal Services for the Department of Children and Families preparing and organizing case files for four (4) overworked and underpaid attorneys who represented case workers that removed children from harmful, and sometimes even life threatening, situations. After several rewarding but challenging years working with abused and neglected children I moved back to the private sector as a litigation paralegal. Throughout my career, I have worked with several brilliant legal minds from whom I have gained education and experience. Professional Goals: Teaching and/or mentoring in a paralegal studies program at West Florida High School, University of West Florida and Pensacola State College.
