About Jodi Shaw

Over 30 years of experience in the salon/beauty industry Started my career in 1987 in Kalamazoo in a high end commission salon that was part of Salon Enterprises Inc, based out of Grand Rapids. During this time of improving my trade, I participated in hair design competitions and worked in management. I was able to build a strong client base with the tools and direction I received, many of my clients from that time I still see to this day on a regular basis and I am very grateful (1987-1993) Moved on to become a self-employed hairstylist in 1993 and worked for 6 years in that location Opened Allure Salon Professionals in and have maintained a full staff of self-employed salon technicians for 25 years. We started in with a staff of 24 in a sq ft space. As changes in the world have evolved over the past few years, such as the 2020 pandemic, many businesses suffered and unfortunately had to close their doors permanently. We were forced to make some big changes in order to keep our doors open. In 2022, we chose to downsize to a smaller, updated and more cozy space (1800 ft, in the same location) and have been operating with a staff of 9 ever since.
