About Jodie Everding

The most valuable thing I learnt from a young age is that you can do anything you set your mind to. I am passionate about this fact and apply it to all aspects of my life both professionally and personally. As a Payroll Professional, there are many challenges associated with Awards, EBAs etc and how they can be interpreted in many different ways by every human being on this planet. Understanding this and putting solid processes and audits in place to make this even a fraction easier is something I strive for. Over the past 10 years, I’ve cultivated my skills as a Payroll Professional. I focus on ensuring employees are remunerated both timely and accurately, with the best customer service possible. At the same time ensuring each member of our team has the skills and tools to be proficient in their roles. I’ve implemented IT Support Ticketing System JIRA, implemented and successfully submitted Single Touch Payroll (STP) ahead of schedule, contributed as a part of a team during implementation of Aurion V11 Payroll Solution and applied numerous Award & EBA increases. I love to listen – not only to what's being said, but to what is not being said. I can analyse mountains of data to find the million-dollar error and investigate how a system works in the background to understand the complete process. In turn saving the business time and money by putting solid audits and procedures in place to stop these issues re-occurring. I am continuously improving my knowledge and skills in legislation and business updates/changes. When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time in group functional fitness training. Not only does it keep me healthy, but it also lets me maintain a bit of a competitive edge, as I’m always striving to outdo my personal best each time I participate. Plus, it’s a great de-stressor, giving me an outlet that ensures that, while I am at work, I’m always at my best. I strongly believe a day without laughter is a day wasted.
