About Jody Carpenter

Jody is the Director of Strategic Operations at Fuse Federal, the U.S. Government-focused subsidiary of Fuse, a fusion energy company supporting U.S. defense interests. On the path to commercializing fusion, Fuse provides pulsed power machines to meet the rising demand for “radiation as a service” from U.S. defense and nuclear enterprise customers. Jody got his start in the U.S. military and later qualified as a Master Explosive Ordnance (EOD) Technician responsible for securing weapons of mass destruction (WMD). He supported Naval Special Warfare operations and the larger Special Operations Forces (SOF) community during multiple foreign deployments and was responsible for mitigating nuclear, chemical, and biological threats. Later, he joined the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), where he was a federal team leader for the Nuclear Emergency Support Team (NEST), who supported the FBI domestic mission responsible for securing nuclear materials and safeguarding classified information in high-risk and unpredictable environments. During his tenure, Jody led the deployment and setup of secure, classified field environments for sensitive operations. This included being the federal authority responsible for the safety and security of all US national lab personnel supporting a nuclear crisis response event. Jody is now with Fuse Federal generating and supporting strategic partnerships with the U.S. defense community to help industry and the government leverage each other to run faster to support U.S. national security.
