About Joe Ansell

I am a results driven professional who values hard work and a challenge. I thrive in an environment that allows me to provide a high quality product in an aggressive time frame and have a life-long love of learning.My early career allowed me to developed user documentation and online help in support of hardware, operating system, and application software for programmers. The great thing about this was that I was able to interview and get to know a lot of subject matter experts who were passionate about what they were doing. The passion was definitely contagious.After 20 years as I technical writer, I wanted to give something more back to my community and took a position as a teacher at a small private school. I continued to teach while taking on additional responsibilities as the IT Director, and Dean of Students. The relationships I developed with parents and students are still among my most valued.After ten years in education, I took on a third career working in Retail. I started as a seasonal sales associate, was offered a full time position at the end of the season, and then a merchandising supervisor position a few months later. I was then promoted to the sales manager position and really enjoyed the interaction I had with our customers and the sales associates I supervised.When the company I worked for liquidated its big box stores, I returned to high tech. I am currently working as a Support Specialist providing phone, chat and email support for a variety of software products for the hospitality industry. When not actively assisting our customers, I monitor our back-end systems using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio to perform SQL queries on customer databases and perform end-user level testing on new and upgraded software.I am open to new challenges but would also love to revisit opportunities from my previous careers. Ideally, I am looking for a position that will take advantage of my experiences and my love of learning.
