Author of 4 books, 2 novels: Peril, Kentucky and Pickering's Mountain, and 2 books of novellas and short stories: Camden Blues and Bluegrass Funeral. Both Peril and Pickering take place in eastern Kentucky-outsider/insider perspectives-fights over religion and mountaintop removal. Camden Blues, set in Jersey and New York, grapple with urban decline and the many emotional, political, and religious quagmires the young faced in the sixties and seventies. Bluegrass Funeral, set in central Kentucky, grapples with feuds, race, and poverty. Anthony, in addition to numerous essays, short stories and poems in various publications, has a short story and poem in Kentucky Twelve Days of Christmas. Anthony's latest book in draft is a novel set in the 40's and 20's about race relations in Kentucky. Wind Publications and Old Seventy Creek Press have been his publishers in the past.
