In the past 3.5 years I have successfully delivered solutions to several world renowned asset management companies, as well as engineering key back-end services as part of a new banking system. A passionate, enthusiastic and knowledgeable Software Engineer and Tech Lead specialising in highly performant, fault-tolerant and resilient services using Go (Golang), Python, TypeScript and PHP Laravel. With strong experience of data analysis using python libraries such as numpy, pandas, matplotlib, seaborn and many more, as well as experience in the use of machine learning libraries (SciKitLearn, Tensorflow), I immediately add value to any team I am a part of. I have experience with AWS, particularly in developing and managing serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, orchestrating APIs through API Gateway, and designing reliable systems with CloudFormation. I am adept in managing both DynamoDB and RDS databases, ensuring optimal data performance and integrity. Additionally, I am also experienced using the Serverless Stack (SST) for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), streamlining deployment and infrastructure management processes. As a Web Developer, I have strong experience with both React and the Django full-stack web framework as well as HTMX. I have acquired extensive expertise, particularly in understanding and managing complex data schemas. My role involved designing and coding a high-performance Go application tailored for the efficient ingestion of fund data from multiple sources, including the Morningstar API. This experience has not only sharpened my technical skills but has also endowed me with a profound understanding of the fund reporting domain. My approach to Software Engineering is holistic, constantly evolving, and driven by the desire to not just meet but exceed team expectations. By integrating my technical skills with a strategic mindset, I consistently add significant value to projects, navigating the challenges of the ever-evolving tech landscape. I have a passion for Physics and hold a Master’s degree in Physics with Astrophysics (first class).
