About Joe Berney

As a supervisor for 30 plus years I have developed excellent skills working both people and in team situations. I'm a leader that understands the importance of safety and that my direct reports are working safely everyday. As a I gain more experience in Lean Tools I have been working towards them becoming a part of my everyday life in the work place. I have gained good knowledge through both lean greenbelt and lean bronze. I've been fortunate enough to supervise across multiple departments throughout my career. I've spent 15+ years in Production Supervisory roles, 10+ years in maintenance supervisory roles and over the past several years I've supervised in the Quality Verification. Being able to supervise a wide range of people and departments has molded me into a supervisor that can think outside the box, understand how decisions you can make effect one department to the other. I believe that to be a very big strength to have in a supervisory role. As a hockey coach, I have been lucky to have coached in both Canada and the USA. I have gained excellent knowledge of the game through mentoring under some excellent well versed coaches and GM's and hope to apply my knowledge in as high a level as I can. I have coached at various levels from minor hockey to junior levels in both countries and have been a part of a championship team in 2009 / 2010 in Wooster, Ohio.
