About Joe Bourdow

Since retiring as President of Valpak and Executive Vice President of Cox Target Media in 2010 after thirty-one years with the brand, Joe has been an active Board Member and Advisor to several national Franchise Brands - both franchisors and suppliers currently including Benetrends Financial Corporation, Huntington Learning Centers, Big Frog Franchising, Big Blue Swim Schools, Retreva.com, franchise123.com and Greybull Stewardship, a boutique private equity firm with several franchise holdings. Over the past decade, Joe has also provided advisory services to College Hunks Junk and Moving, Mosquito Authority, Spice and Tea Exchange, Murphy Business and Financial Corporation, Festive Lighting Pros, Ice Cold Air, Front Burner Brands/Melting Pot restaurants, and Davo Technologies. Joe served two terms as Board Member of the International Franchise Association and was Chairman of the IFA's Diversity Institute. He served as a faculty member for their Certified Franchise Executive program for sixteen years. He is also active in the Tampa Bay community currently serving as Chairman of the Pinellas County Urban League, Trustee and past Board Chair of Academy Prep St. Petersburg, Board Member, past Board Member and Vice President of the Suncoast Tiger Bay Club and past Chair of the Tampa Bay Rays "Clutch Hitters." He is currently Vice President of the Thousand Island Park Historical Museum on Wellesley Island in New York State. Joe also currently leads 96.7 FM RadioStPete Inc, a 501 c 3 non-profit he founded that holds the FCC license for 96.7 FM in St. Petersburg and operates the RadioStPete.com digital audio platform. RadioStPete is St. Petersburg's community radio station giving voice to local musicians and visual artists as well as providing extensive live local event and public affairs coverage. For nine years, RadioStPete produced a national radio network for the East West Shrine Football game when it was played locally. The broadcast, carried by over 150 radio stations across the country, was also an annual feature on SiriusXM's NFL radio channel. Earlier in his career, Joe was a multi-unit franchisee of both Valpak and Fastsigns, principal owner of WKEU FM-AM in South Metro Atlanta and Station Manager of WTON in Staunton, Virginia. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
