About Joe Chartrand

I graduated from Temple University, where I received BS degrees in Finance and Risk Management. Following graduation I was employed by The Travelers in Boston, MA. I left Travelers for a position at BISYS Corp in Lansdale, PA as a 401K Administrator/Sr. Account Executive. Four years and one divorce later I left BISYS and joined my Brother in a family construction business in Central, Florida. When the construction industry nosedived in Florida, I returned to Boston joining BISYS as a Hedge Fund Administration Supervisor (With a team of 15 employees). Prior to the implosion of the financial industry, CITI Group purchased BISYS as a “Cash Cow,” dismantling the Boston office, sending our services and support functions to India and Columbus, OH. After completing the restructuring assignment for CITI, I returned to my family home in Owego, NY,where I started an e-commerce business “Made In America General Store” and worked as a “Consultant/Contract” employee for JP Morgan-Chase providing Hedge Fund Accounting services for their clients. My current position is with H&R Block. I serve as the Office Manager and Tax Consultant for their Vestal office. Here I implement, oversee and support both sales and marketing programs. As well as run all aspects of the day to day operations, with a staff of 12 employees. My Office is currently exceeding our 2014 profit and revenue targets. I am a self-starter, who works well in a group or alone. I am comfortable in both the corporate or client environment. Previous employers recognized and utilized my above average organizational and communications skills, leading to numerous assignments which focused on identifying, solving and resolving a number of client satisfaction issues. These solutions quite often required coordinating resources both inside and outside the company. My current personal goal is to obtain certification as a CPA. JOE CHARTRAND
