Under his guidance, McCann became one of the most awarded agencies in the Philippines, even making it to Campaign Brief Asia’s Top 20 most awarded agencies in Asia for 2018. MWG was also named Creative Agency of the year at the country’s premier creative awards show, the Kidlat Awards. The agency won its first ever Gold Lion, and the country’s first three Effies under his watch. MWG was also named Asia Pacific Tambuli Awards Agency of the Year in 2019. In 2018 he was inducted into the Philippine Creative Guild Hall of Fame. Joe was also named among the top 20 Creative Leaders in Asia for 2017-2018 by Campaign Brief Asia. His most recent awards include his second Gold Lion (the Philippines' fifth ever) at the 2017 Cannes Advertising Festival, alongside a Silver Lion in the same year. A consistent award winner, his work has been recognized with metal at Cannes, The Clio Awards, The One Show, Asian AdFest, Spikes Asia, London International, New York Festivals, The Mobius Awards, The AWARD Awards, The Work, APAC Effies, The Tambuli Awards, The Araw Awards and The Philippine Creative Guild Kidlat Awards. He has won across all disciplines including TV, Print, Radio, Outdoor, Digital, Direct Marketing, Media and Design work. Among the brands he has worked on are Schick, Johnson & Johnson, FedEx, Ford, Bayer, Coca-Cola, Unilab Philippines, Mondelēz, Nestlé, P&G, Unilever, Pfizer, JP Morgan, McDonald's, Globe Telecom, Emperador, San Miguel, SkyCable, HSBC, Nissan, Standard Chartered Bank, Kraft, Asia Brewery, Petron, Jollibee and Shell, just to name a few. Aside from having been director of competition for the Philippine Creative Guild, Joe has also served on the jury for a number of award shows including Cannes, The Clio Awards, The New York Festivals, The Busan AdStars, The Adobo Design Awards, the Kidlat Awards, the YouTube Awards, and the Tambuli Awards.
