Background
About Joe Hoole
Joe is a creative technologist known for producing immersive, research-based pieces that shake the tech status quo. His work has been showcased in various galleries across London. As a founding member of the critical technology art collective Autonomous Sheep, he actively participates in organizing unique exhibitions. Since 2018, Joe has contributed as a workshop provider at the Design Museum and serves as an Associate Lecturer at the University of the Arts London (UAL), teaching on the Fine Arts: Computation course since February 2024, where he delivers seminars and lectures on a broad spectrum of topics. In 2019, Joe established Tinker Studios, a dynamic club for 8 to 15-year-olds based in South East London. The studio is dedicated to fostering the next generation of inventors, thinkers, and problem-solvers, emphasizing STEM learning through experimentation, tinkering, and collaboration. Beyond its regular weekly club activities, Tinker Studios collaborates with entities like the Curzon cinema, the BFI, and the Design Museum to offer workshops.
