About Joe Howes

My passion is the intersection of art and technology. As a performer and filmmaker I have enjoyed connecting with audiences, both live and through recorded mediums. As a technologist, I have enjoyed helping small startup companies with great ideas realize their goals, and I have enjoyed working on teams within larger companies to bring amazing entertainment to the world. I enjoy collaboration with groups of all sizes and the shared satisfaction of bringing groundbreaking and unique work into the world. Specialties: Python, Javascript, C/C++/Java, client/server communication, AJAX, GUI design. Very clean coder with great attention to detail. Fast learner, but I do not rush my code. Rushing slows progress. I work at the fastest pace possible to produce perfect code- 27 years professional programming and creative experience in business and the arts- Pipeline Engineer at VFX studio Weta Digital. Named credit on "Avengers: Endgame"(while credits have no bearing on technological skill, I think it's cool)- Combined 16 years experience with web development (Javascript, jQuery, Python, Django, AJAX, PHP, J2EE, servlets, JSPs, CGIs, HTML, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, etc.)- Try my film/tv search tool https://cinematlas.com
