There should be a clear plan on how to target, identify and successfully acquire new donors, a clear plan on how to develop long-term and strategic mutually beneficial relationships with both new and existing donors and partners, a well-thought out, structured and coordinated donor engagement plan developed through a common understanding with key stakeholders, a well-resourced team with sufficient capacity, capabilities and expertise in building relationships and mobilizing resources, and a forward-looking and dynamic overarching fundraising strategy underpinned by SMART funding objectives. I am a certified Fundraising Professional with over 15 years’ experience, successfully supporting non-for-profit organizations to put in place such fundamental fundraising plans and procedures for an effective and efficient overall fundraising approach. I have in-depth and practical experience managing and building relationship with institutional donors (USAID, FCDO, BMZ, GAC, SIDA, DANIDA, EU, ECHO among others), Foundations & Trusts and High Net Worth Individuals.
