About Joe Labaky

I hold more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry across multiple countries in the GCC (KSA, Kuwait, Qatar, and UAE). My areas of expertise include developing and implementing corporate strategy, engineering new products and business segments, setting and managing corporate budgets, sourcing and developing new business and driving customer relationships, managing multiple construction projects, and overseeing procurement and contract administration. I began my career as a site engineer, progressing into general management and operations leadership. These experiences across my career ladder have enabled me to partner with leading contractors and work on landmark projects in different countries while leveraging a blended technical and business acumen that solves a variety of problems, develops the right resources to support clients and expedites projects to timely completion. At Amana, I’ve advanced into executive roles due to my strategic leadership and management, stakeholder engagement, operational management, and people leadership skill sets. In my current role as Chief Operating Officer, I focus on managing strategic operations for the company, including overseeing over 600 professionals and a workforce of more than 5,500 operational employees. I’m known for inspiring respect, trust, and motivating team members to perform at their best, as well as promoting strong moral across the organization. As a lifelong learner, I consistently seek new challenges and experiences to advance and grow my knowledge as well as promote high-impact results for the organization and its employees. I bring a high level of self-awareness, strategic ability to understand complex problems and dissect them into logical parts, as well as connect with and motivate people to drive company culture.
