About Joe Leroux

I am the Vice President & COO at a non-profit devoted to the NWKS region. We tackle issues like housing, childcare, workforce recruitment and retention, information technology, and all things business to foster economic development and growth in our 26-county region. As an additional duty, I am a certified cybersecurity business advisor for the state of Kansas' SBDC network. Previously, I was the business services director who also managed our SBDC contract with the state of Kansas. I most recently served our community and state as a county commissioner in Ellis County, KS, and on the Kansas Association of Counties Governing Board as the Northwest District Commissioner for the 13 counties in this part of the state. Additionally, I was on the state chief elected officials board of Kansas WorkForceONE. Currently, I serve as a city council member. Before that, I served on several community boards and committees, including several area post-secondary education advisory committees. I also served on the board of directors for Grow Hays and the Hays Chamber. In addition, I am an alumnus of the State Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Kansas program. LK 2021 - The GOATs! As a former salaried operations manager and retired military NCO, I bring a wealth of leadership experience to the table. I have consistently demonstrated my ability to lead, mentor, and train others throughout my career. My work history is a testament to the depth of my leadership experience in various roles, and I am confident in my ability to bring this to any organization.
