About Joe Mann

After graduating from the FBI Academy as a Special Agent in 1989, I reported to the Memphis Division of the FBI with a revolver, 18 rounds, and a pair of handcuffs. Little did I realize that I was about to embark on a 30 year career that most people can only dream of. Over the years, I received specialized training in numerous areas which gave me the opportunity to be a Firearms Instructor, Principal Firearms Instructor, SWAT Operator, Advanced Sniper, Tactical Instructor/Coordinator, Fitness Instructor/Coordinator, Technically Trained Agent, and Technical Advisor. Once I became eligible to retire, I was often asked why I didn't leave. My response was - why retire and go to work somewhere else when you love what you do. But, as mandatory age came along, all things must come to an end. It was time. Now, it's time to start a new chapter. On the work side, I am a Co-Founder of CastNet, Inc.(CastNet.ai). A company that provides specialized security services to corporations, businesses, and High-Wealth Clients. This includes traditional Technical Surveillance Counter Measure (TSCM) sweeps, physical security assessments, network assessments, and now, the next generation of TSCM technology, the CMS, which is a Continuous Monitoring Solution (CMS) sensor that monitors your RF environment for spying and eavesdropping devices 24/7/365.On the personal side, after 45 years of competitive running, I now help coach the next generation of runners - the awkward age of Middle School Cross Country. It's like herding cats but is very rewarding. As George Bernard Shaw once said,"Youth is wasted on the Young."
