About Joe Morrison

I started out working in gangs and swamping on hot oilers during holidays and weekends, while I finished high school. Started contract pumping with my father and attending a semester of college until my family moved. I bounced around for a little after that, worked for Leamco Bearings, setting and repairing pumping units, drove a chemical treating truck, worked floors and derricks for Bullard well service. Found a home at Frontier petroleum services (Key Energy today)for 4 years, doing everything from working floors and derricks, driving pump trucks, vacuum trucks, winch trucks setting frac tanks, and working in repair shop as assistant mechanic. Started pumping for Southwest Royalties in 1989, which later became Clayton Williams Energy. I worked my way up to maintenance foreman, production foreman, and workover/completions foreman for the next 28 years, until the sale of the company in 2017. Started with Callon petroleum as Workover Supervisor in April 2017.
