Joe Mortimer is a travel journalist, copywriter and Editor-at-Large who specialises in luxury travel, high-end hospitality and outdoor adventure. He has been a journalist and editor for more than a decade and currently contributes editorial features and branded content to publications including National Geographic Traveler (US), Robb Report, TTG Luxury, Open Skies, Jetsetter and The Cultured Traveller. He is also Editor-at-Large for Destinations of the World News, a luxury travel magazine based in Dubai. As a copywriter, Joe works with a collection of hospitality and lifestyle clients to create bespoke content for various channels: strategic editorial content for newsletters and magazines, branding and marketing copy for brochures, websites and press releases, stakeholder communications for in-house publications, and ghostwritten articles for corporate leaders, all crafted to drive engagement, loyalty and brand recognition. Joe has visited 60 countries, stayed in more than 100 luxury hotels and eaten in some of the best restaurants in the world, but claims that nothing beats a night under the stars in Patagonia. He has eaten tarantulas in Cambodia, horse meat canapés in Kazakhstan and flying ants in Mexico City, but prefers a slice of lemon meringue pie and a nice cup of tea.
