About Joe Rendace

My extensive experience in the I.T. industry has allowed me to adapt to and engage with each phase of Information Technology's evolution and landscape. After earning my degree in Electronics, I began my career with IBM. Over the years, I gained valuable experience at global powerhouses such as G.E, Swissair, Arrow Electronics, Agilysys, and Hitachi. In 2012, I returned to IBM, where I held diverse roles, including North America Channel Manager, Field CTO, and Business Unit Executive for Unstructured Data and AI. Subsequently, I joined AWS, where I further honed my expertise before venturing into a partner startup to build a Cloud and AI practice. My ability to excel in both Sales and Technical Sales roles stems from mastering the most critical skill in sales: understanding the audience. The evolution of the industry has brought us to a data-driven world. For decades, structured block data has powered analytics, but now the focus has shifted to the exponential growth of unstructured data in file and object formats. Cloud computing—whether on-premises, off-premises, or hybrid—has revolutionized the way we handle data. AI, once the stuff of science fiction, is now deeply integrated into our daily lives, from social platforms like Facebook and Snapchat to countless other consumer applications that generate unprecedented amounts of new data. The question is no longer whether AI and data will shape the future—they already are. The question now is: What will you do about it?
