About Joe Rispoli

In the last few years, I have become increasingly passionate about sustainable design and infrastructure of towns and cities, particularly in the way that municipalities can shape zoning and transportation policy to make housing more affordable, and transportation and streets safer and easier. This passion led me back to school to pursue a second Bachelor’s degree at Stony Brook University in Environmental Design, Policy & Planning, where I graduated in December of 2024. I am acutely aware of how dangerous a lack of safe infrastructure is for people who want to rely on anything other than a car to move themselves around, as well as how a lack of affordable housing options harms communities and limits opportunities. I want to be a part of an organization that makes cities safer, smarter, and more sustainable because it improves people’s lives and carbon footprints at the same time.
