About Joe Schadenberg

I have 7 years of professional experience as an environmental field and lab technician with a specialty in GIS analysis. I have worked for Natural Resources Canada in collaboration with research scientists at the Ontario Forest Research Institute, Atlantic Forestry Centre, University of Toronto, McMaster University, Trent University, and the University of Cambridge in the UK. I have a proficient ability in field data collection, including identification of trees and shrubs, soil horizons, various invertebrates, birds, and other animals in the field. I have obtained certification from the Canada Safety Council for ATV riding, and am excellent in compass, map, and GPS navigation. I am able to utilize data to create maps in a way that portrays a message, as well as a way to further statistically analyze trends. In May 2019, I graduated from the Geographic Information Systems - Applications Specialist program at Sault College, where I had also graduated from the Natural Environment Technician - Conservation and Management program in 2018. I graduated from the University of Guelph in 2016 with a degree in Biological Sciences, minoring in Zoology and Nutrition.
