With over a decade of experience, I am passionate about creating user-centric software that exceeds expectations. I continually strive to develop my ability to lead, deliver, be accountable, and communicate effectively — always aware that I set an example for others to follow. Employee #2 at Penfold, I have been instrumental in helping build a highly successful and rapidly growing fintech startup, where I am responsible for developing an industry disrupting product using cutting-edge technologies such as React + Typescript, GraphQL, finite state-machines, Node.js, Next.js, Cypress, and Jest. With a bachelors degree in Architectural Engineering from Loughborough University, I possess a design and creativity driven mindset, alongside a high attention to detail. My forte as an engineer leans towards front-end / design & UX. I approach every project with a desire to challenge the status quo and continuously experiment to move faster and find new solutions. I thrive on supporting and mentoring others, sharing knowledge, and driving changes in engineering practices. I make confident decisions autonomously, but I also value input from the wider team when necessary. My approach is to move fast and learn quickly, with a clearly formed vision for how things should be done, while remaining open to alternative approaches. I prioritise my workload against business priorities and make sound judgments about when to prioritise technical improvements. I proactively identify and resolve delivery blockers, help non-technical colleagues understand technical constraints, and encourage a culture of feedback.
