I am fortunate to have worked alongside some very skilled and wise individuals and the opportunities which I have been afforded inspire me to keep pushing myself and to give back wherever I can. I'm a well rounded, self-managing individual combining a broad range of organisational, interpersonal and technical skills in the field of Business Intelligence. Providing value at all points along data's lifecycle - from the design, modification and analysis of the human activities and systems which create it and the writing of complex SQL routines to interrogate the resulting databases; to the coding, development and demonstration of reports and dashboards designed to facilitate data-driven decision making at all levels in an enterprise - I am a key component in the search for increased efficiencies and revenue. I can accept my ignorance, and am proud of my approach to finding answers. Science is, after all, a culture of doubt. Positions such as these often involve unfettered access to large portions of a company's intellectual property and confidential information. I am satisfied that my character stands up to this great responsibility and I am excited about what technology can do to make sure the right data gets to the right people (and no more)! My primary toolset is Microsoft's: SQL Server and their Business Intelligence "Stack" of SSIS, SSRS and (some) SSAS. I have experience designing, building and interrogating a wide variety of schemas (both OLTP and OLAP) and I get up to speed quickly. I am also skilled at turning it off and turning it back on again.
