About Joel Chng

My working experience in the news and media industry for the past 8 years has given me vast exposure to an environment where excellence and perfection is essential. As a studio executive and show director trainee at CNBC, there are no down days at the office as my work is presented ‘live’ across CNBC channels worldwide. I am required to constantly multi-task, as I operating multiple cameras, while doing sound/vision mixing. Attention to detail is of upmost importance to ensure that every picture and graphic that goes on-air is accurate. I am an excellent team player and I communicate well with my colleagues from both the operations and editorial side. I also have to liaise with studio guests, many of whom are senior management and foreign government officials. I am a people person and enjoy helping and interacting with guests. I also have a keen interest in the Internet of Things, internet marketing and online businesses. My interest has led me to pursue knowledge in Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Facebook marketing as well as AdWords. My other passions lie in the culinary space as well as in event planning.
