About Joel Cook

I am a Navy Nuclear Machinist Mate transitioning out of the navy and looking for a job which can utilize my skills. I have qualified in many aspects of quality assurance, 3m maintenance system, watch standing and supervision. In my time in the Navy I was selected for various leadership roles and was considered a technical expert by my chain of command, and I was sought out to teach personnel based on my high level of knowledge. I received awards for the large amount of maintenance I performed and coordinated and my technical experience. I acted as a mentor to many personnel in both professional and person life which resulted in a closer relationship with my coworkers which raised overall morale and productivity. As a self motivated person, I sought out difficult jobs thus leading to my leadership role as maintenance group supervisor after only 9 month on my ship. The position of maintenance group supervisor forced me to diversify and become proficient at administrative processes to include inter-department coordination, planning, research, and tracking progress all while performing maintenance and teaching personnel. I continue to rise to challenges, improve myself and others to accomplish any task at hand. My strong desire to maintain superior performance drives me to increase my own abilities and then share my knowledge with others. I am looking for a career to utilize my skills and provide me the opportunity to improve myself. I am willing to relocate and perform any job which provides me with the opportunities I desire. thank you.
