Background
About Joel Davis
My research, teaching, consulting and speaking engagements revolve around just a few big ideas.(1) There is convergence in technology creating unique opportunities and risks. AI is the foundation of that change, paired with blockchain and the metaverse (whenever we figure out what that is). Innovation in this space will significantly disrupt established markets, and establish new markets.(2) Closely related is that I believe that with the rapid rise of Specialized Artificial Intelligence (A.I.), driven most recently by Deep Learning, Human-Algorithm interaction and the impact on human decision-making will be one of the most defining issues of our time. We are in for a massive dislocation and disruption in the workforce. We are going to need large-scale public-private partnerships to teach the skills that make workers valuable in the future. I am optimistic because at the end of this disruption, I think we can have something better.I consult companies on AI adoption/integration and executive AI strategy. Specialties: Human-Algorithm Interaction, AI+Blockchain Strategy, Strategic Data Planning, Data Science, Data Science Management, Analytics, Predictive Analytics, Pricing, Price Optimization, Revenue Management, Demand Management, Decision Intelligence, Forecasting, Data Analytics, R, Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, SAS
