About Joel Enwald

Image processing designer at Planmeca with experience in X-ray imaging and machine learning. I'm looking for opportunities to improve the world, instead of simply generating money for companies and their executives. I could be seen as "creating innovative solutions that can enhance the quality and accuracy of medical imaging and improve the health outcomes of patients", but even if those benefits will be realized, they might only benefit people with money. At least without safeguards against inequality. I would be more interested in working for a non-profit, a B-corp or a benefit corporation. Contact me if you need my skills. As a PhD student at University College London, I poured over existing research, experimented with various novel solutions for X-ray imaging, and presented my results at conferences. As a research assistant at University of Helsinki, I contributed to a project that aimed to create a novel AI-based workflow for mammography, using neural networks to optimize image quality. I also have a strong background in mathematics and computer science, having completed my master's and bachelor's degrees at University of Helsinki. I enjoy collaborating with other researchers and practitioners in the field of medical imaging and AI, and I am always eager to learn new methods and techniques.
