About Joel Halmai

I've completed my BsC in the field of International Relations at Leiden University. During this time I carried out various quantitative and qualitative research, and developed a solid foundation for approaching analytical tasks. I've learned to work in a structured, well-disciplined manner by structuring my workload, and breaking down the main task at hand into smaller objectives. I've worked 1 year as a full-time Customer Support Associate for Wise while I was pursuing the completion of my degree. The flexibility of this position has allowed me to successfully travel to the Netherlands when needed, and to leave me enough time to complete my university projects beside my work. From early december, I'll start the next step in my career as an AML investigator for Wise. The field of AML is of particular interest to me, as even during my student years the phenomenon of corruption in politics has always been of utmost interest to me. Hoping to ascertain an in-depth knowledge in the field of AML in the next years to come, and to encounter many challenges that would allow me to grow as a professional.
