About Joel Hoffman

I am a cardiology and ultrasound training and sales professional. As an Ultrasound Area Technology Specialist with Biosense Webster, I guide a clinical team of Ultrasound Clinical Account Specialists, supporting their clinical growth and business acumen. I support interventional cardiologists through training in intracardiac echocardiography (ICE), both traditional 2D and in the latest 4D modes. ICE gives electrophysiologists and structural heart cardiologists real time insights to their procedures. I show cardiologists how they can have efficient, safe procedures using the latest intracardiac echo technology. With Biosense Webster, I have supported cardiac electrophysiologists in optimizing their experience using ICE in ablation procedures, and worked with structural heart cardiologists in transitioning from TEE to NuVision 4D ICE for LAAO, closure and valve repair interventions. I’ve created training materials for our clinical teams, led advancement courses for ICE, worked with a team of physicians and internal partners in developing a protocol for 4D ICE with LAAO. I am the primary liaison in the western United States between our sales team, physicians, and clinical specialists guiding NuVision evaluations and launches. My clinical foundations in cardiac ultrasound and my 23 years in medical industry support my ability to give physicians confidence in learning ICE. I value collaboration with my physicians and my internal team. Above all, I value the opportunity to help my team and physicians grow in their clinical skills and knowledge and ultimately to have our patients experience better, safer outcomes.
