About Joel Kapp

I am a full-stack software engineer with experience in ReactJS, Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, and Amazon Web Services seeking opportunities to expand and apply my technical skill set. I love coding because it continually forces me to learn new technologies and find new creative solutions. I love writing clean code that other engineers enjoy reading and working with. My experience as a Mechanical Engineer in manufacturing has allowed me to see first hand how software can be leveraged to dramatically improve efficiency and quality of life for the entire company. A desire to be part of those continuous improvements drove me to my most recent educational pursuits and along the way I developed a love for wrestling with the gritty details of building robust full stack applications. When not coding I am an avid science fiction and fantasy reader, a runner, and I enjoy playing games of all kinds from basketball, spikeball, corn hole, Settlers of Catan and Rocket League. I hope to one day be a part of a team which strives to develop both incredible applications and each other's skills to the best of our abilities.
