About Joel Kittrell

As an experienced trial attorney, I bring my valuable knowledge of the law as well as the court to provide a zealous representation of my clients. I am an accomplished criminal defense lawyer working in both Utah's state and federal courts. Consistently being named as one of the top criminal defense lawyers in Utah Business Magazine over the last several years, I maintain a strong relationship in Utah's legal community. My past twenty-year experience working in front of a jury is my first-love. I have represented numerous individuals in Utah's juvenile courts charged with 1st Degree Felonies to misdemeanors. In addition to his multiple jury trials, I have completed and first chaired over 60 arbitrations in civil cases. I am admitted to Utah's state and federal courts as well as the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. In the spring, I have for the last seven years worked as an adjunct professor at the S.J. Quinney College of Law. Giving back to my alma mater has always been important for me. I have been recognized by his peers when I was appointed to serve as the Chair of the Criminal Law Section of the State Bar. I have also been on the board of directors of the Utah Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. In the recent past, I have enjoyed my role serving on the Board of Trustees for the S.J. Quinney College of Law and on the Board for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah. I hope that through my hard work and dedication, children from all backgrounds will have the opportunity to succeed and lead the next generation.
