About Joel Mateus

I was a junior accountant at SAVEMA, a consulting and auditing company, for over six years. During this period, I contributed to the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgets, balance sheets and income statements for various clients, using tools like excel. Additionally, I developed skills in data science and machine learning, applying supervised learning algorithms to optimize processes, identify patterns and generate insights. I am studying a master's degree in biomedical engineering and biophysics at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, as I am interested in applying my knowledge in mathematics, statistics and programming in projects that involve people's health and well-being. I am a dedicated, curious and collaborative professional, who constantly seeks to learn new techniques and tools to solve complex and challenging problems.
