I am a seasoned market compliance leader with extensive expertise in navigating complex regulatory environments across multiple states, including Texas, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. I have demonstrated success in partnering with state Departments of Insurance to ensure regulatory compliance, secure approvals for innovative insurance products, and lead high-impact initiatives such as market entries, exits, and surprise billing dispute resolutions. I have a proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams, delivering significant cost savings while maintaining rigorous adherence to evolving laws and policies. I am skilled in legislative analysis, stakeholder engagement, and strategic regulatory guidance, with a strong background in government relations and public policy. Beyond the political and regulatory world, I created and got approval from the State of Texas, Continuing Education courses for health care brokers and firms. I traveled the state extensively and taught these courses to hundreds of health insurance professionals. This was not related to any job requirement. I just enjoyed getting in front of audiences to teach them something new and because it helped them better educate their clients, that being Texas employers.
