About Joel Parker

I am currently a real estate agent helping people meet their housing needs. I have a passion for working with both families and investors. In this fast paced market it takes an individual with amazing communicative skills and I believe I possess those skills as well as many others that have lead to my success. My business has been growing every year for the past three years and it does not seem to be slowing down. Prior to the real estate world I worked in the insurance industry. I was a licensed salesperson in Michigan and worked primarily in commercial housing during my time at Farm Bureau Insurance while I was going to Northwood University. After graduating with honors and a bachelors in entrepreneurship, I decided to go into business with my brother and we started Great Lakes Insurance Group in Boyne City, MI. This was my first experience running an office on both the sales and customer service side completely by myself. I ran this office for about two years and decided that my passion was not in the insurance business. I wouldn't trade anything for the experience I gained during those two years on my own. That experience made me both a better salesperson and more well rounded individual. During all of those previous career paths I have always had businesses on the side working with my hands and I had finally come to the conclusion that I do have a passion for using my problem solving skills along with my handiness. I am currently enrolled in Dorsey College pursuing an education in HVACR in the hopes of helping another entrepreneur grow their business to its fullest potential.
