I am pleased to report that since the launch of Ethical Dialogue Incorporated (EDI) two years ago, we have: 1) presented live presentations to superior, state, municipal, and magistrate court judges of Georgia on the Philosophical Underpinnings of Jurisprudence; 2) provided lawyers CLE credit for Great Philosophers: Lessons for Today's Legal Professonal; 3) and made presentations to various organizations on the wisdom of St. Augustine, the Philosophy of C.S. Lewis and G.K. Chesterton, and the virtues of the French Resistance to the German Occupation during WWII. What we do is provide time-honed ideas drawn from masterpieces of philosophy that work brilliantly today. The enduring wisdom of Plato, Aristotle, Augustine, Mill, Hume and other greats is presented in fascinating vignettes that guide, warn, and inspire. Ethics training should not dull the senses or bore the heart. As EDI's Presidnt, I hope to help lawyers, judges, business professionals, non-profit organizations, and educators discover ways to foster ethics with a fresh approach. Please view our enterprise at: This past year, I taught business ethics at Oglethorpe University. I used this experience to inform my understanding of the link between a good ethics plan and long-term business success. Over the last 12 years, I have enjoyed teaching philosophy and ethics at Emory University, Spelman College, and Morehouse College. I have also been fortunate to produce, write, and direct humanities based programming for the Georgia Department of Education, the Callanwolde Arts Center, the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation (at Rhodes Hall), the Michael C. Carlos Museum, the Goethe Institute, etc.
