Background

About Joel Pickworth

I'm an experienced information and communications technology (ICT) manager, with a demonstrated history of the effective management and oversight of medium-sized enterprise information technology environments. With a focus on organizational-level improvement, I provide technical leadership to drive digital transformation and continual improvement within our processes and systems. I achieve this by prioritizing robust and reliable infrastructure, efficient and effective support systems, the education and enablement of others in the organisation, and the proactive evaluation and improvement of security protocols, measures, and controls.I have provided professional ICT services across many different areas in the industry throughout my career such as systems engineering, third-level support of critical intensive-care health applications, anti-virus management for one of the largest organisations in Australia, and software engineering within a high-value project environment. This broad range of experience based on the successful integration of many IT systems and technologies working in sync has resulted in my ability to provide a high-level of technical expertise and professional advice regarding effective systems and solutions. Which, in turn, has contributed to my high-level of leadership and effectiveness in information technology management. When I'm not at work I'm highly family-orientated, and my wife and I are kept well and truly busy with a growing number of awesome sons. In the little free time that I do have - I enjoy brewing, barbecuing, and riding/working on motorcycles.
