About Joel Pollard

I am an A-Level student studying Biology, Geography and Law. I am hoping to pursue a career in law and will be applying to study law at university this year. I have spent 2 weeks gaining work experience at law firms, as well as going to a seminar from Cambridge University about squatting and the law as part of the HE+ programme I was invited to be a part of. Along with studying law at A-Level, these experiences have given me a great introduction to the field of law and have developed my passion for this area.I am a hard working individual as shown by my GCSE grades where I achieved 5 A* grades (including a grade 8 in English Language and a grade 9 in English Literature), 4 A grades and a B. I thrive as part of a team which has developed through the many sports teams I have been a part of throughout secondary school and through being on the sixth form leadership group called 'senior students'. Additionally, my experience of preaching at Church and mentoring a secondary school student has developed my interpersonal skills.Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro at the age of 14 was undoubtedly one of the highlights of my life and has given me a great spirit of resilience as well as showing me how rewarding it is to aim for the very top and is a constant reminder that no goal is too ambitious. I hope to continue with these attitudes long into my career!
