About Joel Rivera

A career is a journey that combines your learnings and experience in the workplace and in the tasks you do.I'm still trying to find out what I want to do when I grow up (LOL), but I'm enjoying the journey! So far, my journey includes being a seasoned HR professional with over 25 years of experience and an excellent operational background who is currently sharing my expertise in the post-secondary/academic arena and HR/OD consulting. Whether in the academic sector or with corporations, I assist my clients/students with organizational development and efficiency by building skilled, productive, engaged people capital. In the classroom, I focus sharing my expertise in instructing business management related course/specialities such as Human Resources, Organizational Behaviour, Career Preparedness & Workplace Readiness. In the industry, my work includes assisting organizations in integrating HR business strategies in organizational areas such as talent selection, employee engagement, training and development, and performance management as organizational change, transitions, and development. As an Ordained Minister, I enjoy assisting my clients with life celebrations, weddings, and other celebrations. I balance my career with outdoor activities such as walking around the city, hiking, camping and going to the gym.But really, its so I can eat whatever I want.LOL:)
