About Joel Rojas

In my Document Control profession, I was the central point for product data both internal and external; and was responsible to provide current and archived documentation via the Internet, FTP Server, email and or cloud locations. My responsibilities also included creating, maintaining, and monitoring Engineering/Document Change Notices (ECN/DCO), Engineering Change Orders (ECO) as well as Engineering Action Requests (EAR) throughout all departments affected. I’ve created, revised, and maintained part numbers and Bill of Materials (BOM) within the revision control process as well as organizing and leading the Change Control Board (CCB) meeting and documenting action plans for each change orders. I also created policies and procedures for ISO specs and for improvement of speed and accuracy in working environments such as Engineering, R&D, Machine Shop, Manufacturing, Production, Purchasing, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service. Among other things, I’ve created, revised, and maintained Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for both in-house direction and manufacturing overseas. Lastly, I’ve calculated quantizes, time, and currency using formula’s in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook as relating to internal / external quality control documents. In my Mechanical Drafting profession, I was responsible for drafting detailed part, assembly, cable and schematic drawings with the use of Autodesk AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo, Solidworks, PADS Power PCB, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Visio, Outlook, Access, Corel Draw, Corel Paint Shop, Photoshop, and Adobe Acrobat in 2D, 3D, and Solid Modeling using ANSI Y14 standards. In this role I have been able to lead and support the engineering group building a strong relationship for the development of new products which included power supplies for satellite installations, audio and video recorders for military installations, power distribution cabinets for the control and distribution of water and power, and manufacturing equipment.
